The morning of Tuesday April 25, 2023 is an exciting day for Guiding Eyes for the Blind. The organization’s President and CEO, Thomas Panek was honored to participate in the iconic Bell Ringing ceremony in the heart of Times Square. While most ceremonies are hosted by newly publicly traded companies, NASDAQ will occasionally invite non-profit organizations. Guiding Eyes will be ringing the bell ahead of International Guide Dog Day, which is Wednesday, April 26, 2023.
Thomas, accompanied by his guide dog Blaze, took the stage at 9:22 a.m. The opening bell ceremony was a live, recorded moment covered by multiple broadcast outlets. If you missed the live 9:30 a.m. broadcast, the ceremony was streamed on Nasdaq.com, and recorded and archived for future viewing by the public or view on Facebook.
